Data Protection Act

Safeguarding confidentiality is an important element of general practice. All information held by us is subject to the Data Protection Act (1998). This includes the requirement that personal data can only be held for specific purposes, cannot be used for purposes other than that for which it was collected, and that individuals have a right to know about the data that is being held about them. All information held is strictly confidential.
